Donations

As a charitable institution we depend on our donations to help the poor and needy. Every little contribution you make helps the needy for medicines, food and of course to pay salaries to our staff.

If money is donated to us in India, these donations are eligible for deductions from Income Tax under section 80G of Income Tax Act 1961 dated 20-02-2000 by the Commissioner of Income Tax Vijayawada and has been renewed for the period 01-04-2006 to 31-03-2009 ( F.No.HQrs/1(227)/CIT/TPT/2002-2003) Registered under section 12/A – H.Qrs. o1(15)/TPT/99-2000.

Donations in “kind” are also most helpful to us. Medicines, bandages, medical and general equipment, even if old would be greatly appreciated. Please write in to us at info@emmausswisshospital.org and we will let you know “what” will be of use to our institution.

Donate a “small” part of your time if you are a nursing specialists, medical student or social worker to help the sick and needy.

Tax Deduction for Indian Donors
The Income Tax Act section 80G, sets forth the types of donations that are tax-deductible. The Act permits donors to deduct contributions to trusts, societies and section 25 companies. Many institutions listed under 80G are government-related; donors are entitled to a 100% deduction for donations to some of these government funds. Donors are generally entitled to a 50% deduction for donations to non-governmental charities. Total deductions taken may not exceed 10% of the donor's total gross income.
