The first Emmaus School in the world was started in 1986, with the inspiration and drive of Mrs. Kathleen Jacob, our late - Mr.Walter Rosenfeld and our own local resources. We are so happy to witness first generation learners whose parents are from the rural areas, many of whom were illiterate. These children are now becoming doctors, engineers, computer specialists, etc. We also help children who have mild to moderate mental, physical and visual disabilities.
