Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation is an on-going program where patients who are economically and physically affected are given various degrees of help mostly in the villages. Twenty-six houses were also built for the homeless beggars. Children of leprosy patients are also helped with their education, uniforms, books and more.

Socio-Economic Help:
To lend a helping hand is one of our first & foremost tasks. Not only medically, but socially and to a small extent financially as well.

Emmaus Switzerland has helped full heartedly in this venture by helping to repair the Emmaus Leprosy colony at Palamaner.

We are also helping cured patients by giving a)Housing, b). Providing Education to their children, c). Providing Disability Aids. d). Job-placements & Self-Employment schemes, e) socio-psychological support

Rehabilitation & the Frauenfeld Fund (1998) has also rendered a lot of help for rehabilitation, apart from the rehabilitation help we have received from the German Leprosy Rehabilitation Fund in 1980, and later in 1990 from Emmaus Switzerland for leprosy. We also receive funds from the “Frauen Felder 2-Stunden Lauf organized by CVJM (Christlicher Verein junger Menschen)”.

Thanks to Dr (Med) Stephen Heinz, Dr (Med) Christoph Heinz, Dr. Jolanda Heinz and
Dr (Med).Auburn Jacob - director Emmaus Palamaner, for their great generosity towards the hospital funds.

Several Leprosy cases are given financial help to start a small business. This is Hameed and he has really done well in the vegetable supply and sales
.
This is a photograph of a medical shop, one of the Frauenfelder activities for the disadvantaged young people. Here we train them to learn about small business. The profit made pays salaries to the young people and also help to maintain the business.
